Dr. Adeeb Alshahrour, MD, FACOG is a board-certified OBGYN who has cared for women in Chicago for more than 20 years. A University of Aleppo graduate with residency training at Cook County Hospital, he speaks Arabic, English and Spanish and personally attends every delivery.
About Dr. Alshahrour
Dr. Adeeb Alshahrour, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who has cared for women across Chicago for more than 20 years. He leads the Women's Health Center of Chicago, serving families in the Hermosa and Logan Square neighborhoods and the wider Chicago area.
Dr. Alshahrour earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He has been in practice since 2004 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
He is fluent in Arabic, English and Spanish and delivers babies at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital. Dr. Alshahrour personally attends each of his patients' deliveries — from the first prenatal visit through the birth itself.
In 2005, he pursued advanced training in urogynecology at the University of Guadalajara, gaining extensive experience in the surgical treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. He has also contributed to obstetrics and gynecology research in collaboration with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
